Alumni Brother Doug Causey (NC '76) is proud to announce the following:

William Douglas "Bill" Causey was awarded his Eagle Scout Award at Timothy Christian Church on May 1, 2005.

Bill's Eagle Project involved the planning, design and installation of the landscaping for the new church. Bill spent more than 70 hours working on theis project, and there were a total of 255 hours spent by all the scouts and church volunteers.

Bill will enter his sophmore year in high school in August ('05) at Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston where he plays football and baseball.

Bill is the son of Doug and Cassie Causey, and brother to Kati Lynn Causey. The family resides in Grifton, NC.

Alumni Brother John "Mac" Winslow (NC '96) and his wife Blythe (the former Blythe Clifford), are happy and proud to announce the birth of their son, William Clifford Winslow. The new arrival was born at 6:50 a.m. on January 8th, 2006... and was 7 lbs 2 oz, 20 in long. Congrats to Mac and Blythe.

Alumni Brother Robbie E. Mills (NC '98), aka "Chicken Man",  wed Dana Melvin on Saturday, June 17th in White Oak, NC.  Alumni Brothers serving as Groomsmen were Jarrett Joyce (NC '97), Chris Mann (NC '98), Jack Edmiston (NC '00), and Charlie Wilkinson (NC '00).  Robbie's bride, Dana, is a Ceres Alumni.

Congrats Robbie and Dana...many, many happy years together.

Alumni Brother Justin Travis Raymer (NC '00), aka "JT" or "Bobby" & Kristen Lee McCachren were married June 4th, 2005, at Thyatira Presbyterian Church (Mt Ulla, NC).

A pre-wedding party was given on Friday night at 7pm at the Millbridge Ruitan Building, and a cake and punch reception followed the wedding on Saturday.

Alumni Brother Harry Morton Davis IV (NC '88) and his bride, Michele Louise Martin were married on Saturday, February 12th, 2005 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville. Four other FarmHouse Brothers and two Little Sisters participated in the ceremony: Batt Black (NC '88) and his wife Pattie; Scott Farmer (NC '89) and his wife Tracy; and, John Olczak (NC '88) and his wife joy. Pattie Black and Tracy Farmer are FarmHouse Little Sisters. Another FarmHouse Brother, Reverend Billy Flippin (NC '88) co-performed the ceremony.

Other FarmHouse Brothers that were present included Fred Hart (NC '88), David Coble (NC '82) and his wife Carla, and Jay Twisdale (NC '86) and his wife Jami. After honeymooning in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Kernersville, NC.

Illness

Alumni Brother (Dr.) Ray E. Worley (NC '54), Professor of Horticulture (Retired), University of Georgia. Ray was previoulsly diagnosed with cancer which has now spread. We all recognized the power of prayer...all of us pray for God's healing for Ray. We know that he would very much appreciate receiving your well wishes. Here is his contact info:

Bereavement

Fred Hart, Jr. [father of Jeffrey Hart (NC'88)]

Mr. Fred Hart, Jr. of Laurel Springs, NC died in mid-june. A Memorial Service in his memory occured on Monday June 16th and was attended by FarmHouse alumni.. His son Jeffrey Hart known as "Cabbage" (with great affection) to many of his alumni brothers, currently lives in Galax Virginia and is a 1988 alumnus of the NC State Chapter.

Our condolances go out to the Hart family.

J. Lorton Twisdale [Grandfather of Alumni Brothers Jeff (NC'89) and Jay Twisdale (NC'86)]

J. Lorton Twisdale, age 91, died Saturday morning in Johnston Memorial Hospital following a long battle with serious digestive disorders. Born December 29, 1915 in Emporia, VA, he was a son of the late Nathaniel Alexander and Daisy Lee Whitehurst Twisdale. Lorton was a retired farmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithfield. A graveside service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Park with the Rev. Lee Colbert officiating. Surviving are his wife, of 71 years, Margaret Jones Twisdale; son, John Twisdale and wife, Tucker of Smithfield; daughter, Jane Moe and husband, Doug of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Our prayers are with Jeff, Jay, and the Twisdale Family.

Alumni Brother Dr. Alan Feimster (NC '86)

Dr. Ronald Alan Feimster

In the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, Ronald Alan Feimster, age 39, was called home to heaven to be with his Lord. Although he is with his Savior, his family and friends will miss him terribly. We remember Alan for his genuineness, generosity and love of life. He lived life to the fullest and never did anything half-way. He was a sincerely caring friend who truly wanted to know the real person to whom he was talking. We loved him for being open and honest and fun. He is survived by his wife, Liana; his parents, Betty Smyth and Norris Feimster; his brother, Scott; his sister-in-law, Amy; his nephew, Jake; his nieces, Molly and Mary Claire; his maternal grandmother, Nora Wilson; his stepmother, Carol Feimster; his stepsisters, Karen Lowrance, Janet Wolford and Kathy Ransom; and a multitude of friends. Alan was an Honor graduate of West Iredell High School in 1985, a Cum Laude graduate of NC State University in 1989, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He was a clinical professor in the emergency department at the School of Veterinary Medicine at NC State University. Alan was a resident of Durham, and was actively involved at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Christian Veterinary Mission. Alan participated on several mission trips with this organization, and he was the faculty mentor for the CVM chapter at NC State. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel. There will be a celebration to honor Alan's life at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, in the auditorium of Colonial Baptist Church, located at 6051 Tryon Road, Cary, NC 27518-9316. Nicholson Funeral Home, located at 135 East Front Street, Statesville, NC 28677-5851, is serving the family of Ronald Alan Feimster.

Alumni Brother Don Elliott (NC '54) died during a farming accident on Monday, June 26th, 2006.  Don became a FarmHouse brother during the chapter's early years, and was still very active in FarmHouse alumni activities. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Bertha Smith (May 8, 1920 - September 19, 2005) passed away on September 19th, 2005 of natural causes at age 85. Bertha's service to FarmHouse as chapter cook began in 1974 and continued until 1990...16 years of taking care of "her boys" as she affectionately referred to the brothers. She is fondly remember by our alumni from that era for her "good nature" and great "Southern Cooking", as well as a loving friend and supporter of the NC State Chapter. Heaven has received a grand lady. Our sympathy to Bertha's daughter (who informed us of her death) and her family.

Alumni Brother Dr. Ray Worley (NC '54) passed on August 28th, 2005 following a long battle with cancer. Our sympathy and prayers go out to Ray's family.

Alumni Brother Gene Jackson (NC '63) passed away today from heart failure. Gene suffered with hereditary kidney failure and received a kidney transplate 15 years ago from his sister Marjorie (wife of Talmadge Wiggins (NC '57). This wonderful gift gave Gene many additional years of good health. Gene was 61. Funeral services are at Mt. Elam Baptist Church, 2211 Mt. Elam Church Rd, Roseboro, NC on Thursday, January 13th at 3pm.

Alumni Brother Dr. Milton Wise (NC'64) died the 3rd of January, 2005. His wife, Elenita, said that Milton had many fond memories of his time in FarmHouse and of his work with the Association and Chapter in past years...however, recent medical problems had prevented his continued active participation.

We understand your grief Mrs.Wise. The Brotherhood's condolances go out to you and your family at this most sad time.

Mr. Donald Campbell, father of Alumni Brother Kevin Campbell (NC '96), lost his fight with cancer on Monday afternoon, December 27th. The Campbell Family are lifelong residents of the Candor Community (Montgomery County). Visitation with the family is Wednesday (12-29) at 6pm-8pm in Star, NC at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral is Thursday (12-30) at 11am. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kevin and his family.

"Pop Willis", grandfather of Alumni Brother Jason "Willy" Willis (NC '96), passed away Saturday, September 18th, 2004. Willy was very close to his grandpa and we understand and sympathize with his loss. Our prayers go out to Willy and his family in this time of grief. Contact info for Willy:
