What is Anchor Splash?

Anchor Splash - when fraternities, sororities and non-Greek organizations compete in swimming events - is a major fundraiser of the Delta Gamma collegians!  It is one of the most well recognized philanthropic fundraisers in the Greek world today.  Funds from the event support Delta Gamma's Philanthropies:  Service for Sight, Scholarships, Fellowships and Loans, Values and Ethics Lectureships, as well as a number of educational programs.

Begun in 1966 at Beta Tau Chapter (University of Miami) as a way to celebrate their 25th anniversary, Anchor Splash has spread to chapters across North America.  More the 110 Delta Gamma chapters annually hold a splash!  Competition includes the zany tube races to serious relay events.  An every-popular disply of skill is often seen in the "water ballet".  Both campus and community heavily support Anchor Splash!

Anchor Splash at NC STATE:

The Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Gamma held its first annual Anchor Splash on April 17th, 2004.  The sisters of Eta Kappa worked hard to get everything ready to have a fun-filled and successful philanthropy event!  The competition includes events such as "synchronized swimming", "save the mermaid", and other fun events.  There is also a "Most Beutiful Eyes Contest".

FARMHOUSE at the 2006 Anchor Splash:

The North Carolina State Chapter of FarmHouse sponsors a number of philanthropic events during the year including See-Saw-A-Thon and Wood-Chop...as well as participates in the spirit of community with other Greek and campus orgainzations in their own annual events such as Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash.

On Sunday, March 26th, at the 2006 Delta Gamma Anchor Splash, the men of FarmHouse had a great time, well representing their fraternity taking 1st Place in "Sychronized Swimming", 1st Place in the "Most Beautiful Eyes Contest", and 3rd Place in the overall fraternity standings.  "Way to Go Boys!"
